Isle of Wight indie rockers Wet Leg have secured their second consecutive U.K. No. 1 album with Moisturizer, which overtakes Oasis by debuting atop the Official Albums Chart. In a playful Instagram reel, singer/guitarist Rhian Teasdale vowed to shave her armpits if they beat Oasis to the top spot. Once Wet Leg secured the No. 1 spot, she further poked fun of the Britpop legends by wearing an unofficial Oasis T-shirt featuring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels from the 1994 comedy, Dumb and Dumber, instead of the Gallagher brothers. Oasis is still controlling the top of the chart, with their 2010 compilation, Time Flies… 1994-2009, only slipping a spot to No. 2, while 1995’s (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? sits at No. 4, and 1994’s Definitely Maybe is at No. 5. Oasis’ current chart dominance is buoyed by their ongoing Live ‘25 reunion tour, which just wrapped up a celebrated five-night stand in the band’s hometown of Manchester, followed by a five-night stint at London’s historic Wembley Stadium set to kick off on Friday (July 25).
