Coldplay failed to win a single award at the 2008 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 23rd), although the British act was nominated for four. In addition to Artist Of The Year, they were up for Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group, Favorite Album Pop/Rock for Viva La Vida... and Favorite Alternative Rock Duo Or Group. Chris Brown took home Artist Of The Year, although even he said, "I would have gave it to Coldplay." The band lost the other awards to Daughtry, Alicia Keys and Linkin Park respectively.
Other big winners included Kanye West, who won at the awards for the very first time...

Seether and Saving Abel will support Nickelback when they hit the road in late February.
According to Harddrive, Puddle of Mudd will begin work on a new album early next year with a summer release expected.
Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland has stated candidly that marital issues are the main subject of his new, two-disc solo album, Happy in Galoshes. Although the 20-song set does feature several songs written about his late brother Michael, Weiland told us that most of the project was based around his eight-year relationship with his wife Mary: "It's a concept album and it's a personal concept album. What up bitches good to see so many of you calling and showing up at our live broadcasts thank ya much for all your support! Now before we start with my review of the brand new Mudvayne disc let me remind you I'm a HUGE fan of the group and have really been looking forward to this album... so without further adu lets get into it
The first thing you'll notice about the album is that it is relatively short with only 11 tracks on it which includes "Dull Boy" which was released with their previous disc By The People, For The People. So really we only get 10 new songs which is a bit disappointing...
