Coldplay failed to win a single award at the 2008 American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 23rd), although the British act was nominated for four. In addition to Artist Of The Year, they were up for Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group, Favorite Album Pop/Rock for Viva La Vida... and Favorite Alternative Rock Duo Or Group. Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland has stated candidly that marital issues are the main subject of his new, two-disc solo album, Happy in Galoshes. The first thing you'll notice about the album is that it is relatively short with only 11 tracks on it which includes "Dull Boy" which was released with their previous disc By The People, For The People. So really we only get 10 new songs which is a bit disappointing...
