Cincinnati’s Biggest Concerts?
There’s an App for That!
Riverbend Music Center & PNC Pavilion Unveil Free App
Cincinnati, OH [05/10/11] – Riverbend Music Center and PNC Pavilion today officially unveiled its new smartphone application just in time for the 2011 summer concert season. The app provides up-to-date concert details, announcements and purchasing capabilities. Available now in the Apple® store, the app works on multiple platforms, including iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
The Riverbend Music Center and PNC Pavilion mobile app, along with riverbend.org, serves as a complete events portal that lists individual shows, dates, stage and door times, on-sale information and links to view and purchase tickets.
Users can easily add shows to personal calendars, integrate with Facebook and Twitter, and watch YouTube videos. A rotating schedule page is similar to the popular viewing experience of albums on an MP3 player.
The new app also includes general venue information: rules, box office, VIP and season tickets, directions, parking, special offers and events, season sponsors, permitted and non-permitted items, etc.
Other interactive features:
· Detailed venue map – find restrooms, concessions, merchandise stands, first aid, etc.
· Customized Google map – pinpoint exact directions to/from venues, labeled highway exits and venue gate numbers
· Seating chart – zoom in on specific seats
· Free QR code scanner - Riverbend will utilize QR codes on site and in advertising
Phase 2 of the app, which will be available before the first concert on May 20 will include a “find my car” option, enhanced integration of on-site amenities, more customization of Google mapping, additional interactive seating capabilities, Facebook check-ins that allow users to connect with friends at a concert, push notifications for favorite shows, and more.
The development of the app for Android is also in progress and is scheduled to be complete by mid-summer. Plans are also in the works to develop a similar app for the Taft Theatre.
