3 Doors Down have canceled their European tour that was set to kick off Friday and run through mid-June. No official reason has been given for the cancellation, but the band says all the shows will be rescheduled for later this year. 3 Doors Down will hit the road in the U-S on July 9th with Staind and Hinder
Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum says fans can expect a big announcement in a couple of weeks. He says, "I think it's going to surprise everybody. It's exciting. We're moving forward. We're going to keep going and play rock and roll and get a new guy singing." There's no word yet on what the big surprise will be or if it concerns the arrival of Scott Weiland's replacement. In other news, Sorum says the band was offered to turn their search for a new singer into a reality T-V show like Rock Star, but they turned it down.
While Joe Perry recuperates from knee surgery and Steven Tyler reportedly gets cleaned up in rehab, guitarist Brad Whitford is cleaning out his closet. He's selling some of the equipment he used on the band's Get a Grip Tour, at Woodstock '94, on Saturday Night Live and elsewhere on E-Bay.
